The Company

JohnCompanies was founded by John Kozubik in 2001 to fill a vital need for low-cost professional-grade virtual private servers (VPS). John's founding philosophy was to offer an economical service based on enterprise level hardware and multi-homed bandwidth combined with tech support that allows customers to deal directly and immediately with the first-tier engineers who run the actual systems. That philosophy is still valid today and has been broadened to include our dedicated servers and secure online backup services. Our belief is that competent and knowledgeable tech support is the backbone of a world-class professional hosting service. At JCI all technical support is handled by engineers. No call center screeners or ticket systems.

We allow customers to deal directly and
immediately with the first-tier engineers
who run the actual systems

Following the launch of VPS hosting, JCI expanded and began offering dedicated servers applying the same policy of using enterprise grade hardware and multi-homed bandwidth combined with top-level technical support.

In 2006, John saw a need for easy-to-implement secure online backup services for businesses and individuals who needed reliable off-site secure storage for critical data and files. This back-up service - www.rsync.net - is a sister company to JCI and offers secure geo-redundant backup services at data centers located in the US and around the world. JCI now offers online secure backup services based on the rsync.net design packaged with our hosted servers (at a discount) or available on a standalone basis for general online backup needs.

We provide professional-grade server hosting
and secure online backup services for thousands of customers all around the world

Since its founding in 2001, JCI has grown where today we provide professional-grade server hosting and secure online backup services for thousands of customers all around the world. To support our growth we recently opened a second datacenter in southern California and are planning additional datacenters in the US and overseas as the demand for hosting and cloud computing expands dramatically.
